A few people noticed this week that the Jeopardy Contestant Zone page was showing the contestants’ losing outfits instead of their Day 1 outfits (they did this often at the end of last season too.) Previously, the outfit on Contestant Zone was almost always the Day 1 outfit .
A Reddit post regarding this seems to have caught the attention of the Jeopardy web team, because all the photos for this week were switched this afternoon — including Nam’s from Monday and Tuesday. This is good news for people who pay attention to contestant outfits! (There are dozens of us!)
Mark Lashley
Mark is wearing a very nice reddish-pink dress shirt — what a great color! He paired it with a navy blue rib-knit cardigan. Love the thickness of this knit, it looks very cozy.
Paul Drake
We have not had a lot of contestants wearing ties recently. Thank you, Paul for classing up the place! Nice glasses too.
Amy Hummel
Amy is wearing a solid black sweater. I think a lot of people understandably default to solid black on Jeopardy, since black is a great classic color for professional situations. But on a TV screen, black is not always the best choice. Amy looks cute, but I think this would have been even better with a dark jewel tone red or purple.
Ken Jennings
I call this tie pattern “cheerios”, and this is the 4th time this season that Ken has worn it.
I’ve added a lot of new merch to the Etsy shop in the past few weeks! Make sure to get your Team Victoria (or Team Matt/Mattea/Amy/James) for Masters, which starts airing May 1st! (I haven’t been able to get in touch with Yogesh to design Team Yogesh yet - if you want one, have him contact me!)
If you’re planning to take the Anytime Test soon, I have some resources for you!
Jeopardy has a Youtube Playlist with previous contestant tests from 2017-2020. I recently put some time into creating this spreadsheet to grade my answers and check my score while practicing with those videos. Feel free to make a copy and use it for yourself! There is a separate tab for each video test.
watch the test video with the spreadsheet side-by-side
type your answers into the spreadsheet
when you're done, unhide the answer column
check the boxes for correct answers
the sheet will calculate your score (35+ is widely rumored to be "passing")
