Jackson Jones
Jackson has worn a sweater in each of his appearances so far! This one has a nice cable knit texture and I like the light pink shirt with it.
Maya Wright
Maya’s semifinal was yesterday, so she likely taped this right after (maybe with lunch break in between?) Either way, likely not a lot of time to change clothes, so she optimized her outfit efficiency by keeping yesterday’s shirt and adding a blazer.
Justin Bolsen
Both Justin and Jackson are wearing pink shirts tonight! I’m curious about Justin’s necklace - it’s a gold vertical bar but I can’t tell if it has anything special engraved on it.
Mayim Bialik
This is the same blouse Mayim wore on the first episode of the tournament (2/20/23)! It has a faint leaf or flower pattern. She wore it with a grey suit on that episode. This navy blazer may be the same one she wore on 2/28. (Outfits so far with blazer: 6, sans blazer: 7)
A lot of people noticed this mistake tonight! My guess is that they had to do a pickup on all/part of Mayim’s intro & recorded that at the end of the game but forgot to reset the screens.
When I was in the audience for a taping last year, there was a late-game pickup where something like this could have happened. They had put up the FJ dividers and cleared the contestant names from the screen for them to write their wagers, but then needed Ken to re-record something. So they had to clear the wagers, put the dividers back down, and have the contestants rewrite their names so they would appear correctly on the podiums in the shot.
I assume it was just completely overlooked, but it’s also possible someone noticed the mistake but figured it didn’t matter as much since the “final” scores are only the first of a two-day total. Maybe they will address this on the Inside Jeopardy! podcast next week!
