Wednesday 11/30/2022 Jeopardy! Fashion Recap
Cris Pannullo vs. Jeannette Bonjour vs. Randall Rayford
I’m posting my recaps both here and on Twitter for the time being. If you miss any, you can find the entire archive on the homepage.
There will be spoilers by the end of this recap, so don’t read if you haven’t watched yet!
Cris Pannullo
This is the 7th time Cris has worn the lavender shirt (his most-worn shirt.) He broke his pattern of always wearing the black shirt on Wednesdays! Maybe that’s why there have been so many close games this week - his regular vibe is thrown off.
I have long admired Cris’s impeccably non-wrinkled shirts and went down a bit of a rabbit hole trying to figure out what brand they might be. I noticed an MK (Michael Kors) logo on his maroon sweater, which led me to this stretch dress shirt that looks tantalizingly similar (available in his full collection of lavender, light blue, black, and white.)
I’m betting on the fact that all his dress shirts are the same brand (this is based on the fact that he wears the same outfits repeatedly and eats the same lunch every Jeopardy! tape day).
The lavender color looks a bit too light (the Jeopardy! stage lighting does weird things to colors on screen so it’s hard to say for sure though.) I’m not sure these buttons are quite right either, but the “airsoft” fabric (a cotton/spandex blend) does seem to be a good option.
Another one that caught my eye is this Michael Strahan shirt.
The lavender color is more muted, like Cris’s, and it’s also available in light blue, black, and white. It’s made of a polyester/spandex fabric that promises to stay wrinkle-free, which is what I’ve speculated Cris’s shirt may be. However, the darker buttons on the lavender and the light blue shirts don’t quite match up with the look of Cris’s buttons.
All that to say, I don’t think I’ve cracked the case quite yet. If you have any leads, let me know! (If any of my readers are scheduled to tape Jeopardy! next week and Cris is still there, maybe you can casually ask him for shirt details!)
Jeannette Bonjour
This week has just been full of outfits that make me say “That’s my favorite!” every day. I love the colors of this floral print. It’s not an ostentatious print, but the way the red cardigan pops with the red flowers is so striking.
Randall Rayford
First I have to point out the pocket square! Really lovely (floral?) print and he paired it with a coordinating solid tie. The suit is an interesting color, it has a bit of a greenish tinge on my screen but probably more brownish in real life. You guys know I love chunky/colorful glasses, but these super thin almost-invisible frames are incredibly cool.
Ken Jennings
I think this is another new tie! Last season his ties were mainly monochromatic (red or blue or purple), but this season he has added several new ones with multiple colors (mostly red/blue combos).
During Cris’s contestant anecdote Monday, he mentioned buying a house and Ken joked that they should start showing Zillow listings along with his winnings.
Here’s what Cris can buy in Ocean City, NJ with his 18-day winnings. (I’m ignoring taxes and the fact that he might not want to spend his winnings all in one place.)
It’s a big day for Cris - he can finally afford a place with an attached garage!
