Taylor Clagett
Taylor is wearing a navy suit tonight. He has worn three different jackets in his three days - all in different shades of blue! Tonight’s tie looks very sharp & fits with the preppy styles he has been wearing. Looks like the same pocket square and American flag pin as yesterday.
Andrew Knowles
Yesterday when they showed the preview for today’s contestants, I noticed Andrew had these AMAZING glasses on. But he is NOT wearing them in his Contestant Zone headshot. Then he did not wear them during the intros at the beginning of the game, but wore them during gameplay, but did not wear them during his contestant interview! I’m guessing he only needed them to see the board?
Anyways, I love these pink & purple frames and his fun haircut.
Julie Sisson
Julie’s shirt matches Andrew’s glasses! Such a beautiful shade of pink. I tried to figure out the design of her star pin but couldn’t quite see the details. Lovely locket as well!
EDIT: One of Julie’s friends identified the pin for me - thank you Jennifer! It represents the Philanthropic Educational Organization.
And Julie brought a lot of good luck charms with her! She showed her grandmother’s Scrabble tile during her contestant anecdote…
and then pulled out a Ken Jennings baseball card during the end credits!
July Champions Day 1 vs. Contestant Zone headshots
In the month of July, we have seen the majority of champions wearing a different outfit on Day 1 than is shown on their Contestant Zone headshot. Previously this had been a pretty rare anomaly worth pointing out— during the preceding six months of 2023 (January - June), the only other time an outfit mismatch like this occurred was Holly Hassel (June 14th).
Out of the 11 champs debuting so far in July, only two were wearing their Day 1 outfit in their Contestant Zone headshot. The rest were pictured in the outfits from their FINAL day (except Alex Gordon who appeared 3x and was pictured in his Day 2 outfit.)
We’ll have to keep an eye out and see if this continues next season!
Ken Jennings
Ken does not wear this tie very often (this is only the 2nd time, the first was 4/11/23.) I’m wondering if it’s vintage, as the pattern seems retro and it the tie itself looks to be a wider style.
