Jason Carpenter vs. Eva Thomas vs. Mike Elliott
Today we are kicking off the first week of Season 39 Second Chance! This will cover four weeks from December 19 - January 15, which each 5-day week comprising a different set of 9 contestants. (But because we are starting on a Tuesday, each “week” runs Tuesday - Monday.)

Jason Carpenter
An excellent suit and tie look for Jason tonight! I like the contrast of the light yellow with the dark navy blue suit, and I’m very happy he wore a tie.
In Jason’s first episode, he wore a blue shirt and no tie (and a mustache! I kept thinking something about him looked different tonight!)
Eva Thomas
Eva is wearing a very sharp belted blazer with peak lapels. Her green dress underneath has such an interesting neckline I wish we could see more of it! (It looks like it has Pam Mueller vibes.)
This blazer is cool and reminds me of one Mayim wore in Season 39 on 5/18/2023.
In her first appearance, Eva had glasses, a different hairstyle, and an equally cool belted outfit.
Mike Elliott
I love sweaters, but I *especially* love v-neck sweaters with a shirt and tie because you can see the shirt collar and the tie knot. I just like the way everything layers together here.
I really liked Mike’s original outfit too, he wore a tartan tie and a grey suit. (I just think he is so handsome, sorry not sorry.)
Ken Jennings
I always like getting a funny screenshot of Ken.
This purple paisley tie is one of his most worn ties (9 times total - 3x in Season 38, 4x in Season 39, and now twice in Season 40.)
Did you notice the new intro today? I forgot this was debuting for Second Chance and was excited to see the behind-the-scenes shots.
