I’m continuing to post my outfit recaps daily (sometimes late) both here and on Twitter — I’ve enjoyed posting here because I can be a bit more wordy.
With the state of Twitter being a bit, uh.., unpredictable right now, don’t forget that you can get in touch with me on Twitter, Substack, Etsy, or email - they’re all linked here in my Linktree!
Amy Schneider
Amy just wore this blazer for the first time in the exhibition game last Tuesday. The dress/blouse underneath looks new! I adore this color on her. I also noticed her pearl earrings for the ToC are dangly - in her original run they were studs.
Andrew He
Andrew is killing it with the minimalist chic looks. Black turtleneck is classic “tech genius” (though I think Ken referenced the Sprockets sketch from SNL at the end of Andrew’s contestant anecdote?) Andrew’s looks during his original run were similarly understated and I think the addition of a turtleneck is a great way to add a bit of flair to the theme.
Sam Buttrey
I like seeing Sam’s collection of ties! They aren’t super flashy but they all have character. This one has a nice red & blue color scheme.
(I mentioned yesterday that Sam had worn a tie in ALL his appearances, but I just checked and he did wear a dress shirt & blazer with no tie in the semifinals of the Professors Tournament!)
Ken Jennings
Ken looks so good in pink! This is one of his brightest ties and I have not seen him wear it yet this season, though he did wear it a couple times in Season 38.
A first-to-three finals is fun from a wardrobe-recap perspective because I get to see all 3 contestants rotate their pieces for multiple days in a row. That doesn’t happen often on Jeopardy (the finals are usually a two-day total point affair), so this is an exciting time!
I believe today’s game was the last game taped on this tape day, so from tomorrow to the end of the tournament will be all one tape day. Let’s see how many outfits they bring to the studio!
