Welcome to a few new subscribers via Claire McNear’s article about the Jeopardy! hosting situation.
I’ve been posting intermittently on various social media (I miss Twitter and can’t decide where else to post!) so this newsletter is the best place to see full fashion recaps.
I can’t believe it’s already Day 3 of 5 in the SECOND week of Season 39 Second Chance! Raquel, Mitch, and Xanni are the last contestants for this group and then we’re off to the 2-day finals.
Here’s the remaining schedule for the next three weeks, with 9 different contestants each week:
Week 2 (finals) - Dec 29, Jan 1
Week 3 - Jan 2, 3, 4 / Finals Jan 5, 8
Week 4 - Jan 9, 10, 11 / Finals Jan 12, 15
I’ve published a quick visual refresher here if you’ve forgotten some of the names and faces since their original appearances.

Raquel Matta
Love this shade of yellow with the navy blue jacket! This jacket style is fun. (The fabric looks a bit wrinkled, which can be highlighted by stage lights and cameras - something for future contestants to keep in mind!) Love the metal-framed glasses.
In Raquel’s original airdate: 5/9/23 (opponents: Hannah Wilson & Joe Forti) she wore a teal shirt - my favorite color!
Mitch Cutter
This sweater looks so cozy and rustic! I love the speckled texture (glad wardrobe didn’t veto this, I’ve heard of the cameras not liking dotted textures sometimes.)
In Mitch’s original airdate: 12/22/22 (opponents: Ray Lalonde & Kathy Boelter) he wore a purple tie and a quarter zip.
Xanni Brown
Xanni is wearing a grey and black ensemble tonight - very professional! I like the contrast of the lighter grey with the solid black shirt.
Xanni wore a decidedly not-cursed tan blazer on her original airdate: 11/28/22 (opponents: Cris Pannullo & Michael Harten)
Ken Jennings
Ken wore this blue floral tie previously on 10/3/23 (and once last season.) He has another tie with a very similar print too.
Sorry these recaps are sending so late, I keep thinking every day is Saturday and forgetting to write them until the last minute.
Thanks for the link to Claire's article; I hadn't seen that!
