Erin Portman - Day 2
I already reached my weekly quota of WOW’s on yesterday’s outfit but WOW?!?! The earrings are clearly the star of the show but the green sweater with blue peter pan collar is SO CUTE.
2023 is clearly the year of the interrobang - this is the 2nd time this month that someone has mentioned this punctuation mark on Jeopardy! (First was Max on 1/10 in his anecdote). Erin also showed off her interrobang tattoo during her anecdote. (It’s taking all my willpower not to use an excessive number of interrobangs in this recap!)
Many people have asked for sources on her outfit pieces, so with Erin’s help I tracked down the interrobang earrings on Etsy.
EDIT: These are sold out but I’ve contacted the seller and she’ll let me know when more are listed in the near future, so keep an eye out!
Yesterday’s earrings were oyster forks “from a very talented crafter a few years back!” I don’t have an exact source, but found some on Etsy and you can search “oyster fork” or “cocktail fork” for more.
Her houndstooth sweater yesterday was from the brand Belldini and most likely from Nordstrom Rack. I wasn’t able to find the brown/tan one she was wearing, but did find a similar black & white version on resale sites.
Troy Meyer
Ok, first I have to say I’m getting strong “taller, skinnier Bill Hader” vibes here! I like this outfit. I don’t always love how heathered fabrics look on screen but the texture of this grey jacket is fantastic & works really well on screen. Spotted the pocket square of course! Great glasses too.
(P.S. you know who else was introduced as “a music executive” on Jeopardy!? Buzzy Cohen! Who went on to win 9 games and the Tournament of Champions… can’t wait to see how Troy stacks up!)
Hillary Kotler
Three perfectly dressed contestants tonight! This sweater looks so cozy and homey. It really fit her vibe perfectly. She also has a beaded necklace that looks handmade.
Ken Jennings
This tie has little swirled dots that remind me of galaxies for some reason. He wore it once before, on 10/14/22.
Bonus: Celebrity Jeopardy!
I like how matchy matchy tonight’s group is!
Mayim Bialik: I really like her headband that matches her blouse. She has been wearing a lot of pantsuits lately!
B.J. Novak: Henleys are haunting me! I stand by my assessment that they are too casual, but Celebrity Jeopardy! does seemingly have looser wardrobe standards.
Brendan Hunt: I love his patterned shirt, though I feel like it would normally be vetoed by wardrobe!
(I’m curious if they don’t give the celebrities the same wardrobe guidelines as the regular contestants or if they just don’t enforce them!)
Cari Champion: Adore the sleeves on this! Also very pretty necklace.
