It’s Day 9 of the first 14-day segment (part one of the four-part Champions Wildcard.) That will last through December 18th and will feature 108 former champions (1, 2, and 3 day winners) from Season 37 and 38 (actually 105 former champions plus the 3 Second Chance winners).
If that was a lot to digest, here’s a more visual explanation from the Jeopardy! website.
(This week will be a little odd because the 9th quarterfinal game wraps up today, so the semifinals will be Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. I’ll be continuing to publish all my full recaps right here on Substack, and maybe or maybe not posting on social media (links on my Linktree).
Steve Clarke
Steve wore a suit and tie every episode in his original run, and he has continued that trend in his Wildcard appearance! You can’t go wrong wearing a suit and tie.
Valerie Castelo
Valerie’s dress is so beautiful!! I love the style and color and the flutter sleeves. And I’m obsessed with her gorgeous beaded floral necklace.
Josh Saak
I’m very excited to see Josh back! I remember him being a very strong champion in Matt Amodio’s first episode and excited to see how he does.
He wore ties in some, though not all, of his initial episodes (and he wore a jacket in his final episode where he was defeated by Matt Amodio.) Tonight he is keeping things simple with a navy blue button down shirt.
Ken Jennings
Thanks to Steve’s headshot, I got a closer look at Ken’s tie and the pattern is a bit more intricate than it looks on TV! This tie is a staple of Ken’s rotation, appearing twice in both Season 38 & 39.
